We're growing fast and looking for an ambitious Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us expand our commercial footprint across Europe.

About the role
As our Business Development Representative, you'll be responsible for creating new business opportunities across European energy markets.
You'll identify and engage traders, aggregators, utilities, renewable energy producers, and flexibility providers, turning targeted outbound outreach into qualified sales opportunities for our Account Executives.
This isn't a traditional high-volume sales development role. You'll be selling a highly technical AI platform into a specialist market where thoughtful outreach, curiosity, and commercial intelligence matter far more than generic sales scripts.
You'll report directly to Raphaël, our Head of Revenue, and work closely with experienced Account Executives, Marketing, and Product to continuously improve how we generate pipeline.
What you'll do
Build targeted outbound campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and phone across European energy markets
Research accounts and identify key decision-makers and buying stakeholders
Prospect into traders, aggregators, renewable energy producers, utilities, and flexibility providers
Qualify opportunities through discovery conversations and convert prospects into sales-ready opportunities
Partner closely with Account Executives throughout the sales process
Help build and continuously improve Dexter's outbound playbook, including messaging, sequences, and qualification criteria
Maintain accurate CRM data and a structured sales pipeline in HubSpot
Share customer insights and market feedback with our Product and Marketing teams
Job requirements
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who's curious, commercially driven, and enjoys creating opportunities from scratch.
You likely have:
1–3 years of experience as a Business Development Representative (BDR), Sales Development Representative (SDR), or in another outbound B2B sales role
Experience selling SaaS, software, data, or technical products
Excellent written communication skills; you know how to write outreach that gets responses
Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot
A structured way of working with strong follow-up discipline
Resilience, ownership, and the motivation to build something from the ground up
Professional fluency in English plus German, French, or Spanish
You're currently based in the Netherlands or willing to work in a hybrid setup from our Amsterdam office
Nice to have
Experience in renewable energy, commodities, electricity trading, or power markets.
Experience selling API-based or other technical software products
No prior energy market experience? That's absolutely fine. We're looking for people who are eager to learn and genuinely interested in how electricity markets work

What we offer
Annual base salary €48,000–€62,000 (including 8% holiday allowance)
Uncapped variable compensation starting at 30% of base salary
