We are growing our Flexibility Optimization team to further capitalize on the success of our existing product. This team focuses on optimizing the flexibility of batteries and renewables within short-term power markets, making it a key strategic initiative for Dexter's future revenue growth.
Power up our team
We are on the lookout for a Product Manager with experience in asset optimization to spearhead our Flexibility Optimization product. This role requires a candidate with a strong background in short-term power markets, asset optimization, and ideally, battery optimization. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in translating domain knowledge into a robust product strategy, roadmap, and execution plan.

As a Product Manager of the Flexibility Optimization team, you will have an impact on the reliability and efficiency of the power grid by building a product that optimizes Flexible Assets (such as batteries) across short-term power markets. To do this, the team leverages cutting-edge price forecasting and mathematical optimisation - we are a software company with mature Machine Learning infrastructure and related tooling. Flexibility will play a crucial role in ensuring a reliable and stable energy supply, especially as Europe invests heavily in batteries as a key storage solution. Our goal is to make our Flex Optimisation product the go-to product for energy companies in Europe.
What you will be doing:
Domain Knowledge Translation:
Utilize industry expertise in short-term power markets and asset optimization to define the "what" of the Flexibility Optimization product.
Strategy and Roadmap:
Define, communicate, and gain buy-in for the product roadmap and strategy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, such as our Trade Optimization, Power Forecasting, API Platform, ML Platform, Commercial, and Management teams.
Maintain a hands-on approach with a focus on execution.
Connect user and customer insights with product prioritization.

Keep the energy flowing
To be successful in this role, you'll at least need:
Must-have: Industry experience in short-term power markets and asset optimization.
Very nice to have: Experience in battery optimization on short-term power markets.
Experience in Product Management:
Experience as a Product Manager with knowledge in building Flexible Asset Optimization or Battery Optimization products.
We are open to consider professionals without prior Product Management experience, but with sufficient technical expertise and domain knowledge and who are excited about the opportunity to grow in a product role. We will provide the opportunity for learning the Product Management skills on the job through training (external courses) and internal mentorship.
Fluent English with comprehensive and concise communication skills.
Sufficient emotional intelligence for effective stakeholder and customer engagement.
Ability to break down complex contexts into actionable problems.
Track record and drive to pioneer new solutions in a developing market.
Technical education or background in a technical field.
