Your team

As a key player in Dexter Energy’s Sales team, you’ll work closely with and report to Philip (Head of Sales & Marketing), and with Hubert (CCO), Victor & Konstantinos (Account Executives), Alexander (Business Developer) and our Marketing and Product teams

You’ll join a high-performing, collaborative team of talented professionals, united by a shared vision: to lead the renewable energy transition.

Your job

As an Account Executive at Dexter Energy, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth strategy. Your mission:

  • Convert leads into trials and close deals with renewable energy companies across Europe.

  • Be a trusted advisor to energy market players, helping them optimize their short-term power trading strategies using Dexter’s AI-powered forecasting and optimization solutions.

  • Drive business growth by combining market expertise with relationship-building skills, working closely with internal teams to deliver client success at scale.

We’re located in Amsterdam, but this is also a remote-friendly role based anywhere in Europe, with monthly travel to Amsterdam (2-3 days per month).

Your responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle: from lead generation and qualification to closing complex deals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a strategic partner in helping them maximize profits from renewable assets.

  • Leverage your knowledge of power forecasting and European energy markets to guide prospects through data-driven decisions.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to position Dexter as a trusted brand in the energy forecasting space.

  • Work closely with our Product team to ensure client feedback shapes our AI solutions.

  • Actively contribute to Dexter’s expansion across Europe by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening existing accounts.

The requirements

We’re looking for an experienced deal-closer who can build trust with senior decision-makers in the energy sector:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B software sales, within energy forecasting, short-term power trading, or optimization solutions.

  • Proven success in closing complex deals and managing long-term client relationships.

  • Deep understanding of the European energy market — ideally with experience in short-term power trading or power forecasting.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex AI-driven solutions into clear client value.

  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.

  • Based anywhere in Europe with eligibility to work in your country of residence.

  • Willingness to travel to Amsterdam around once per month for 2-3 days.

If you’re considering relocation to the Netherlands, we offer visa sponsorship and a relocation package. If you prefer to work fully remotely, you must have the right to work in your country of residence, as we cannot offer visa sponsorship for remote roles.
