Within the (renewable) energy trading industry, commercial talent is very scarce. Given the niche nature of the energy trading industry, we are eager to continuously talk to you - commercial candidates!  For this reason this vacancy is already live, creating the opportunity to already get in touch before our planned hiring date: Q1 2025.

This position will be part of the sales team within the Commercial Department, working closely with Philip van Engers (Head of Sales), Hubert Penn (CCO), Victor Lanckriet & Konstantinos Sklavenitis (Account Executive) and Andi Piftor (Marketing Manager).

As an Account Executive at Dexter Energy, you'll be at the forefront of our growth strategy. Your mission is to convert leads into live trials and close deals in the renewable energy and AI-driven solutions space. You will collaborate with a dynamic marketing team, ensuring market credibility, and receive support from our commercial team in navigating the sales cycle effectively.

What you will be doing

  • Identify and nurture leads, turning them into live trials and, ultimately, successful deals.
  • Leverage market research and analytics to drive informed sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with Head of Business Development, Philip van Engers, and CCO, Hubert Penn, to achieve sales targets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align sales efforts with market credibility-building initiatives

Keep the energy flowing

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales in energy trading solutions 

  • A proven track record of closing complex deals demonstrating exceptional persuasion and presence.

  • Business acumen to understand the renewable energy market and AI solutions (strategy, analytics or finance background is a bonus).

  • Passion for renewable energy and AI (industry experience is a bonus).
